iPlan Tracer 
The Tracer module helps you break down a concept into the functional elements and finally organize them as the requirements. By defining and tagging each context and requirement in detail, you can ensure that any gap between the concept and implementation is minimized. You can map a set of these requirements to one or more projects for implementation. From the Tracer, you can maintain complete traceability of the requirements through detailing, construction, and validation phases of the project.
Some of the key features / benefits of this module are:
- View a hierarchical tree structure of the requirements to quickly understand the modularization of the concept.
- At a high level, track the number of functions or requirements that the concept is composed of.
- Monitor the overall status of how many requirements were designed, developed, and delivered.
- Define temporal links to establish the order in which the requirements are to be developed.
- Define causal links to establish the impact of one requirement on others, so as to quickly ascertain the effect of any error or change.
- Create your own multi-level tagging scheme to simplify the complex interrelationships among requirements.
- Attach documents and notes to the contexts or requirements to provide support for the idea or decision made.
- Track changes and revisions to the requirement baselines as they are updated.
- Record your estimates of effort and cost against contexts and requirements, and monitor the actual effort and cost over several implementations.
- Control the nature of tasks in the project plan to which the project manager can associate the requirements.
- Present the team member with a checklist of requirements that he/she has to work on and allow him/her to capture the status and effort against each requirement.
- View the status, progress, and stability of any specific requirement through various phases of implementation.
